"Quiet Time"

"Each day I want to see the face of God before I see the face of any man." -Charles Spurgeon

I love this attitude.because I have so little of it in my own life and wish I had more! I don't know about you, but time with God first thing in the morning is not always at the top of my list.

Why is it so hard to make time for our Savior and Lord? Is there anyone more important for us to meet with daily? NO! Then what is the problem? Here are a few of the common reasons:
  • -lack of discipline
  • -no desire
  • -broken and/or no relationship with Christ
I think the last one really is the key, because if you have a strong growing relationship with someone, then you are going to have the discipline and desire to get with that person.spend time with them.make them more than just an acquaintance!

Even Jesus showed us the importance of time alone with the Lord:
"Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed." Mark 1:35

Notice He got up early, He got alone and He spent quality time with God. If Jesus made this a daily part of His life, then who are we to say we are too busy.

Just a thought!
