Not just money, but maybe time.maybe effort.maybe love.maybe all of you! It really is better to give than to receive! Our service men are giving their lives each week for our country, in a land most of us will never visit. They know the potential dangers, and yet they are willing to give it all! In light of what these men do daily, it seems a little trivial to complain about giving our time, effort, love, etc. to those around us. Most of us will never be asked to give our lives.or will we? What does God's Word say?: Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it." Matthew 16: 24-25 God calls us to give our lives daily to His service. I'm not talking about our physical lives (although in some parts of the world there are Christian missionaries being killed for their faith even today!). What Christ is talking about is our spiritual "lives" and hearts. The only way to find true peace and purpose in life is to surrender every area of your life over to Christ today! He promises that "whoever loses his life for Me will find it". I ask you again, when was the last time you truly gave something away?.what about today?.what about giving all of you to Christ?
